Redwood Region Audubon Society is Pleased to Announce the Reopening of Free
Public Field Trips
Field trips will follow COVID-19 guidance from the CDC and have been approved by
Humboldt County.
- Reservations are required.
- Groups are limited to a total of eight people, including leader(s).
- Participants and the Field Trip Leader must self-screen and/or check their temperature
prior to the scheduled activity. They must not attend the activity if symptoms are present.
- There will be no sharing of equipment (optics, field guides) except within family
groups.
- There will be no carpooling except within family groups.
- A mask covering the nose and mouth must be worn at all times.
- A minimum distance of six feet between individuals and family groups must be
maintained at all times.
 
Arcata Marsh & Wildllife Sanctuary Field Trips are held the first and fourth
Saturdays of each month, 8:30 a.m. to 11a.m. Potential participants should email
shrikethree@gmail.com and provide the date for the tour they would like to attend and full
name and phone number of each participant.
 
Humboldt Bay National Wildlife Refuge Field Trips are held on the second Sunday of
each month, 9:00 a.m. to 11 a.m. Potential participants should text message only 707-
499-1247, or email thebook@reninet.com and provide the date for the tour they would
like to attend and full name and phone number for each participant .
 
Eureka Waterfront Field Trips are held on the third Sunday of each month, 9:00 a.m.
to 11:00 a.m. Potential participants should text message only 707-499-1247, or email
thebook@reninet.com and provide the date for the tour they would like to attend and
name and phone number for each participant.
